Presentation

Notre Dame domain is situated close to Eygalières lovely village, at the foot of the Alpilles. In Provence near the city of Avignon. The Mas*is in the middle of a one hectares park of almond trees, truffle oaks and olive trees.
Rimmed by scrubland, the Alpilles are at the end of the path.

We are open all year long .You are welcome in our five rooms for a relaxing stay in an authentic luxury setting.

We particularly love the Alpilles massif, as well as our village. We are eager to share with you our passion for this piece of heaven, you will discover on foot, on horseback, by bike, and also by horse and cart!

The press says:"Mas St. Sixte  is a brand new house,  fantasticaly built from old traditional materials. The furniture and decor is all connected to Provence somehow, like the huge dining table made from Mont Ventoux Cedar. It has all the requisite Provencal touches, like stone walls, tile floors, tuile roof, beams, etc. The kitchen is fantastic. Everything is modern but colorful and rich...not monochromatic minimal. The living room has wall to wall sliding glass window/doors. The house is cooled by an underfloor flowing-water system. Furniture and fixtures are either high-end and design-y...or antique pieces found in local brocantes and flea markets. A wonderful mix.

The master bedroom in this house is upstairs and it's  really a small suite, with a terrace overlooking the gorgeous Alpilles Mountains and the village of Eygalieres. Charlotte says due to the angle, you get to see the sunrise over the mountains and the sunset over the village.

All rooms in the new house have minibars, flat screens, music and espresso machines. All have private terraces.

The pool at this house is heated and ''salt filtered" with a wide first step for the little ones or for sitting and reading (and drinking chilled rose!) in the water. It also has an outdoor shower.

In back of the house there's another huge dining table, this one shaded by old trees, and Charlotte says even in the deepest summer heat, it remains breezy, cool...and a lovely place for a long al fresco lunch.

She has two extra roll-away beds that could be used as needed in either house.

Charlotte and her husband love the idea of sharing their beautiful homes and their village with travelers. She says she often helps arrange fun local activities for guests such as a Provencal horse and buggy ride for the kids, a special dinner, etc. She says that the most important thing to her is that everyone who comes feel at ease and at home...and that they have a wonderful vacation.

Mas de Notre Dame was wonderful and it is not possible to give any less than the maximum score. We were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary and they made us feel so special for this weekend away in Provence. The breakfast was perfect with all the local products and options of eggs from their hens in the garden. The room was very spacious with a terrace and a large ensuite with bath and shower, and a walk in wardrobe to clear away the messy suitcase. There was nice attention to detail with a kettle in the room and many options for tea, homemade jams, large flat screen TV with a DVD player and DVD’s. The weather was beautiful and there was so much to see in the area we did not take advantage of the audio visuals. The owners and staff really make you feel at home… but in cosy luxury! We really hope to visit again each year. In the past we have tried different things in different areas and they have been some exceptional places but the service here was different to anything we had experienced before and makes Mas de Notre Dame stand out a mile!

Be welcome every Sunday morning for Yoga sessions.

You also may have a massage. Will you take the Shiatsu, reflexology or Ayurvedic technique?

Unless you prefer lounging by the pool nestled in a green area.

Every Friday, our friend Jane Satow organises cooking classes at home. An authentic cook of the village will come to share her secrets with you. Then you will enjoy the dishes you will have prepared, under the shade of the almond trees…

You will be able to take part in many Music, Theater, Opera festivals, not to mention the Arles Photographic Meetings, taking place every Summer.

For interior decoration, Clara de Turckheim mixed provencal antique furniture, with a contemporary decoration. Warmth and soothing, modern with a touch of travel settings, here is the style of this young interior designer.
